How to Place a Commission
Malcolm would be pleased to accept commissions on any subject he has shown in the website. All work will be discussed carefully and produced to your specifications, regardless of subject be that motoring, rail or scenic subjects.
Prices will vary from subject to subject and the level of work required to complete the painting.
Please contact us to discuss your requirements and to confirm prices.

Acrylic Paintings
These commissions are created using acrylic paint and are much slower to produce. On average they take around 35 - 40 hours to complete. They are meticulously drawn by hand first, then painted using very fine brushes. Malcolm works from photographs and using close up views takes great care to ensure that all the detail is accurately respresented.
Watercolour Paintings
These commissions are created using watercolour paint and are a much quicker medium to work with. On average they take around 15 - 20 hours to complete. They are meticulously drawn by hand first, and whilst the level of detail is very good it isn't up to the level achievable with the acrylic paints. Malcolm works from photographs and using close up views takes great care to ensure that all the detail is accurately respresented.
Trams, Buses and Trolleybuses
These subjects are painted in watercolour and take around 30 -35 hours to complete. These too are very carefully drawn with the same level of detail as the cars and bikes. The watercolour however creates a pleasing but very different effect to the acrylic.
Scenic Views
All my scenic artwork is done using watercolour which is more receptive medium for this style of painting. Scenic views can be done from very small to large images.
Canal Artwork
Generally Canal Artwork is completed using watercolours. These can vary from full boats to close up images of parts of a boat.
Steam & Diesel Locomotives
These subjects are now a regular topic and are always completed in watercolours. Lots of recent paintings now on the Railways page. Rail based paintings can be a locomotive on its own or within a scene.
Aviation Subjects
Check out the Aviation page for recent aircraft paintings.
Any Other Subject
For all other subjects not covered on this page, then please get in touch. Cannot guarantee I can do what you want but there is no harm in asking.
Please use the contact form page to make contact with me and I will then respond via e mail, with further information or questions.
Payment Details
My normal process is that after agreement has been made as to the painting required I take a 25% deposit and the remainder is due on completion.
Payment by instalments can also be arranged.
Please contact me to discuss.
